Education Programme

As part of our commitment to supporting our local community we have an education programme in the form of lectures, tutorials and presentations and an information centre based at the Newbiggin Maritime Centre. We participate in the Newbiggin Festival with an annual exhibition of our work. We provide guided watches at Church Point so you can practice using the observing skills and knowledge you acquire through these training sessions. Its a great social activity too!.

We use Newbiggin Maritime Centre as our base for our education and watch programmes. A wide range of facilities are available including a café/restaurant, toilets, a museum and shop, a functions room and full disability access to the centre and onto our observation area at Church Point. Beach access wheelchairs are also available free to hire. There is also free car parking and excellent public transport services.
